How to prepare I sea bacon

There are four ways to do it: Fry it, stir it, soak it or munch it from the pack (like beef jerky).

Basic recipes

I seasar salad

Ingredients

  • 4 leaves of I sea bacon
  • 500 g romaine lettuce
  • 4 salmon fillets with skin on (about 150 g each)
  • 2 tsp maple syrup
  • 2/3 tsp salt, black pepper
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil or olive oil

How to make it

  1. Tear I sea bacon leaves in smaller pieces. Heat a layer of olive oil in a pan. Put a few bacon leaves in the hot oil
  2. Bake the leaves 10 sec on each side, till they turn green. Put the baked leaves out of the pan on a paper towel
  3. Wash and dry the salmon fillets and marinate with maple syrup, salt and pepper
  4. Cook the salmon for about 5-7 minutes, depending on their thickness
  5. Add the dressing to the romaine leaves and toss with your fingers
  6. Add salmon and I sea bacon on top. Enjoy!

I sea hamburger

Ingredients

  • 3 leaves of I sea bacon
  • Pickles
  • Dijonnaise
  • Focaccia bread
  • Sweet red onion
  • Lamb burgers/vegan burgers

How to make it

  1. Tear I sea bacon leaves in smaller pieces. Heat a layer of olive oil in a pan. Put a few bacon leaves in the hot oil
  2. Bake the leaves 10 sec on each side, till they turn green. Put the baked leaves out of the pan on a paper towel
  3. Cut the bread in two and roast gently
  4. Fry the burger pattie
  5. Mount the hamburger using the dijonnaise and some onions as first layer, then add burger pattie, pickles and I sea bacon.

I sea lentils

Ingredients

  • 5 I sea bacon leaves
  • 1/2 aubergine
  • 50 g goat cheese
  • 75 g mixed salad
  • 100 g lentils (cooked)
  • 50 g quinoa (cooked)
  • 1 red onion
  • 2 tbsp vinegar
  • Parsley, oil, pepper & salt

How to make it

  1. Tear I sea bacon leaves in smaller pieces. Heat a layer of olive oil in a pan. Put a few bacon leaves in the hot oil
  2. Bake the leaves 10 sec on each side, till they turn green. Put the baked leaves out of the pan on a paper towel
  3. Slice and grill the aubergine
  4. Slice the goat cheese
  5. Stir-fry the lentils with the onion
  6. Add quinoa, salt, pepper
  7. Serve the lentil mix on a plate. Roll the goat cheese in aubergine and top with I sea bacon.
I sea stampot

I sea ‘stamppot’

Ingredients

  • 30 g I sea bacon leaves
  • 1 kg potatoes
  • 25 g butter
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • 150 ml milk (or plant-based alternative)
  • 300 g endives (kale or spinach work as well)

How to make it

  1. Tear I sea bacon leaves in smaller pieces. Heat a layer of olive oil in a pan. Put a few bacon leaves in the hot oil
  2. Bake the leaves 10 sec on each side, till they turn green. Put the baked leaves out of the pan on a paper towel
  3. Peel and boil the potatoes until nearly soft
  4. Chop the garlic and mix with milk
  5. Stamp everything together and serve with I sea bacon leaves
i sea risotto recipe

I sea scrambled eggs

Ingredients

  • 4 leaves of I sea bacon
  • 4 eggs
  • 1/2 bunch of parsley
  • 2 small onions
  • Butter / oil
  • Cream

How to make it

  1. Tear I sea bacon leaves in smaller pieces. Heat a layer of olive oil in a pan. Put a few bacon leaves in the hot oil
  2. Bake the leaves 10 sec on each side, till they turn green. Put the baked leaves out of the pan on a paper towel
  3. Whisk the eggs with the cream and add some salt
  4. Fry the onions for a few minutes, add to the eggs and mix well
  5. Fry and scramble the egg mixture to taste and add parsley and I sea bacon
